Unity News Release

Calvary Baptist Church and New Faith Fellowship Church have a unique situation, “A Church within a Church”. Calvary Baptist extended an invitation to New Faith Fellowship in December of 2017 to make Calvary Baptist Fellowship Hall their new home. Beginning on January 21, 2018, New Faith Fellowship started having services in the fellowship hall. New Faith Fellowship had been holding services in a home prior to the invitation. What is unique is that both churches meet at the same time conducting both Sunday school classes at 9:15 AM and Church Services at 10:30 AM. The two churches have also held corporate Services on a number of Sundays.

Both Pastor Dan Cate of Calvary Baptist and Pastor Tom Hudson of New Faith Fellowship have preached several messages to the unified bodies, emphasizing the importance of unity. When guest speakers are available the two churches share the speaker by coming together. Last summer the two churches worked together to have Vacation Bible School. A future plan is for the two churches to share Sunday school classes together. The two churches believe that meeting under the same roof has been successful and beneficial. Both churches agree that unity between them is strong and will remain as communication and flexibility are exercised continually.
